My problem with Don't Look Up is that it is a one-joke idea that the movie implements fairly well, but the slow pacing and lack of other substantial ideas make the movie uncompelling.
The joke of the film is that scientists discover that an asteroid is going to wipe out all life on Earth, but everyone refuses to take it seriously. It is obviously a metaphor for Climate Change, so I feel like the movie is lecturing me.
There is just enough here to keep me barely interested, and there are a couple of twists at the end that are somewhat entertaining.
