The first Jurassic Park film was innovative with its dinosaur special effects and changed the movie industry forever where photorealistic CGI became the norm.
However, I had two problems with the movie:
1. The pace is a bit slow. The movie is also stingy with its special effects, probably due to the difficulty and cost of creating them at the time.
2. I was put off by seeing young children in mortal danger.
I'm sure many people loved this film, as it was a summer blockbuster, but I felt uneasy with the movie.
Rating: B-
I liked the second, third, and fourth movies better.
At the end of season 3 episode 7 of The Orville, I heard a new music theme with just a few notes that sounded vaguely familiar. With some effort, I figured out what this reminded me of...
John Williams is a great composer. The first half of this theme is wonderful. However, the second half seems repetitive. The music is meant to be experienced with the movie.
