I like The Book of Boba Fett more than most fans. Although it has its weak moments, I got caught up in Boba Fett's story from escaping the sarlacc pit, bonding with the Tusken Raiders, and to finally becoming a crime boss on Tatooine.
The Book of Boba Fett is closely tied to The Mandalorian, which is the series that reintroduced the character of Boba Fett. The show is essentially season 2.5 of The Mandalorian and two of the episodes are exclusively about the Mandalorian, which made the Boba Fett fans unhappy.
Another thing that made the fanbase unhappy is that Boba Fett is not the badass he used to be. He is more of a semi-reformed crime boss.
Despite a few problems, there is much to like in this show, including the two episodes about the Mandalorian.
The series only has one season. There doesn't seem to be enough interest for a second season, although Disney hasn't ruled it out yet, but the show is effectively on hiatus. If there were a second season, the fans would want a more intense Boba Fett.
